Acceptable Use Policy

What you may not sell or do through Blockra, and what happens if you do it anyway.

Last updated August 2, 2026

This Policy forms part of the Terms of Service and applies to every account. It exists for two reasons: some uses are unlawful, and some would put the service, its other users, or the payment networks we depend on at risk.

Read it with one thing in mind. Blockra never holds your funds. We cannot freeze, seize or claw back a payment. Enforcement of this Policy means we stop providing the service — closing your checkout, disabling your keys, terminating your account. It does not and cannot mean taking your money.

1. Prohibited activity

You must not use Blockra to take payment for, promote, or facilitate:

  • Anything unlawful in your jurisdiction, the payer's jurisdiction, or England and Wales.
  • Sanctions evasion. Dealing with a person, entity, vessel or territory subject to sanctions, or structuring activity to avoid sanctions controls.
  • Money laundering or terrorist financing, including layering funds, mixing or tumbling services, and payments you know or suspect derive from crime.
  • Fraud and deception, including counterfeit or replica goods, stolen goods, stolen credentials or account data, carding, phishing, fake documents, and fake reviews or engagement.
  • Malware and intrusion, including ransomware, botnets, stresser or booter services, exploit kits, and tools sold for unauthorised access.
  • Child sexual abuse material. Any account touching this is terminated immediately and reported to the appropriate authorities.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery, content sexualising minors, and human trafficking or exploitation in any form.
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and their parts; controlled or illegal drugs and precursors; and drug paraphernalia where unlawful.
  • Unlicensed regulated activity, including gambling, lotteries, securities, insurance, lending, and money services, where you do not hold the licence your jurisdiction requires.
  • Ponzi and pyramid schemes, matrix schemes, "investment" programmes promising returns, and multi-level marketing structured around recruitment.
  • Deceptive crypto offerings, including token sales you do not have the right to make, "guaranteed yield" products, and impersonation of another project or wallet.
  • Infringing material — content you do not have the right to sell, and circumvention of technical protection measures.
  • Threats, harassment, doxxing, or content inciting violence or hatred.

2. Restricted activity

These are not automatically prohibited, but they carry legal or regulatory conditions and you must be able to show you meet them. We may ask.

  • Adult content and services between consenting adults, where lawful and age-verified by you. Blockra performs no age verification.
  • Gambling and gaming with a licence covering every market you accept players from.
  • Pharmaceuticals, supplements, nicotine, alcohol and CBD, subject to licensing and age controls.
  • Financial and investment services, debt advice, and crypto-to-fiat services, subject to registration.
  • Charitable fundraising, where registered.
  • Marketplaces and platforms that pay third-party sellers — you remain responsible for what your sellers do.

3. Conduct on the service

You must not:

  • probe, scan or attempt to breach the service, or bypass authentication, rate limits or plan limits;
  • use the API in a way that degrades the service for others, or evade rate limits by rotating keys or accounts;
  • misrepresent who you are, use a checkout to impersonate another business, or set a checkout domain you do not control;
  • resell or white-label Blockra as your own gateway without a written agreement;
  • scrape or bulk-extract data from the service beyond your own account's data;
  • create accounts to evade a suspension.

4. Your customers' data

If you use Blockra to collect payer email addresses, you must have a lawful basis for doing so and your own privacy notice must cover it. You must not use Blockra to build a list you are not entitled to hold. See the Data Processing Agreement.

5. What we do not do

So that expectations are clear:

  • We do not screen your customers, verify their identity or age, or score them for risk.
  • We do not screen deposit addresses against sanctions or chain-analysis lists today. If that changes, this Policy will say so.
  • We do not monitor the content of what you sell proactively. We act on reports, on legal process, and on what we see.
  • We do not hold funds, so we cannot reverse, freeze or refund a payment on your behalf or a payer's.

Compliance obligations that attach to your business — licensing, age verification, sanctions screening, AML, tax — remain yours.

6. Enforcement

Where we believe this Policy has been breached we may, proportionately to the breach and with notice where lawful and practical:

  1. ask you to explain or to stop;
  2. disable a specific feature, key or checkout;
  3. suspend the account, so no new payment can be started;
  4. terminate the account.

Serious breaches — categories such as child sexual abuse material, sanctions, or intrusion tooling — are acted on immediately and without notice, and may be reported to law enforcement.

In every case, payments already settled are in your own Stripe or GoCardless account, or your own wallet, and are not affected. Suspension stops new payments; it does not touch old ones.

7. Reporting a breach

If you believe an account is using Blockra in breach of this Policy, email support@blockra.io with the checkout URL or payment reference and what you have seen. Reports about child safety or an immediate threat to a person are treated as urgent.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy as the service changes or the law does. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version; material changes are notified in the dashboard or by email.
